
The Grafton Police Department will be hosting a free Youth Police Academy from August 10th through August 14th, from 8 AM to 3 PM at Grafton Police Headquarters. The program is open to incoming 7th and 8th grade students. The Grafton Youth Police Academy is a police-led program offered to students who have an interest in law enforcement, military or emergency services. The program offers a variety of activities and lessons aimed at building leaders in our community. The students will be exposed to many activities and speakers in the field of law enforcement. Speakers and events typically scheduled include:
Massachusetts State Police Marine Unit – MILO Simulator – Police K-9 Demonstration – Jail Visit at Worcester County House of Corrections – Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) – CEMLEC SWAT/Station Tour – Tem Building/Leadership Exercises – Mass State Police/Life Flight Helicopter Visit – Basic Self Defense – Marching and Drill Exercises
